Out in the nature.

Today I went out into "the wild" twice. I'm happy that I did cause it calms me. It brings me back to "here and now", and that's where I think that all of us should be, "here and now".

First I went for a walk close to "the lake" with a good friend of mine.

Then I went for a dirt track bike ride.
On the track I ran into this little bugger.

Its actually a lizard without legs. Funny ey...

A long day.

Woke up at 6am. Forced myself back to sleep.
Up at 8am. Baked bread.
Visited my mother and her husband together with my little brother and his kids.
And then I went to work. No.. not the painting job I have. I was a musician at a restaurant. Played my guitar and sang for about 5 hours. Now my fingers hurt and its time to sleep.

Took a photo from the back of the restaurant.
Quite nice, isn't it?

Strawberries

Summer in Sweden is usually not that hot. This summer is even less hot. I shouldn't use the word hot at all cause its quite cold. Today it even felt like fall in the air...

But let's get to the strawberries. Because of  the cold weather the strawberries have a hard time getting ripe, but they are on the way.

There is a little river...

On my way home from work today I took the time to visit a place I never visited before. Its just by my brothers house. Most people just pass it by, as do I, but today I didn't.

Here are the photos...

The poor guy got sick...

This photo doesn't show the weather right. It was raining, its 14 degrees in the air (Celsius) and not at all as bright as it looks.
So... I was wet and cold and the black stuff I have on is a garbage bag.
On top of this I had a really bad head ache. A weird head ache. Pills did nothing for me.
SO I had to go home again.
Home is 3,5km away and I bike the distance. On my way home I pass a little piece of Paradise.
Check these photos out.

This is within the CITY I live in, and where the boat is tied up, is a house and this is their back yard.
.... Maybe you don't see a place with 12.000 people as a city...

Now I am in bed. Drinking and relaxing. Not a sound to be heard.
Tomorrow I hope for better weather and for my head ache to be gone.

The photo of the day.

Hi there.

I have decided that during my time of busyness I will post "The Photo of the Day" every day.
How this will turn out, I have no idea, but this will give you an idea as to what I am up to.

So... the first photo of the day...

At the moment I am working on cleaning a building so that I later can paint it. This involves a skylift. Today I just had to check how high up it can take me... and it took me WAY HIGH UP.
Here I have left the ground behind, and I loved it.

Heard of Cows...

A week ago I went for a bike ride. On my way I passed a field with cows grassing on it. I stopped for a while and took some photos.
I scratched them behind their ears and on the top of their head. They seem to like that.

Having these animals and big green fields close by are taken for granted here in Åmål, but for many people being able to scratch a cow between its ears is not such a natural thing, and I bet that allot of people would even be quite afraid to do so. At the same time traffic in Taipei scares the hell out if me allot of the times.

Here comes some cow pics.

And now a cow movie.

I hope this blog post was a MOOOOO-ving experience.

Handskesjön - (Glove Lake)

Some day ago I went for a walk with my good friend Linda.
For the ones who doesn't know already, I'm in Sweden right now, and that's where I had my walk together with Linda.

This is when we left the car.

After 15 minutes we came upon the lake. Not a sound except the birds and the wind. And no other people. Just the two of us.

We walked along the lake and that's where we stumbled across this little house.

Some of you might have recognised this to be the home of the beavers. Not all beavers build dams across rivers. Where there are no rivers they build huts.

We didn't see any beavers even though I am sure there were beavers living in the hut we saw.

Our final destination. Out on a peninsula there is this place where you can spend the night if you want to.

And also this cabin. Its not locked and its for anyone to use. All that is asked of you is that you leave it as nice as you found it.
I have slept in both of these places. Needless to say, the hut is warmer. :)

This is inside the hut.
Even if its -25 degrees Celsius, this stove makes it so hot that you start to sweat.

A place in the sun.

I found my place as well.

Summer in Sweden.

This tree was cut down by the beavers. And this was not the only one. We saw at least 10 or 15 trees that the little bugger had decided to cut down.

Going back to the car.
The time was 8.15pm, and there were still a couple of hours of daylight left.

It was a really nice walk. I think I will take Jason to this place when he comes here in August. At that time the water will most likely be a little warmer so I think that I will take a swim in the lake as well.

As for all you out there.

Last week in Taiwan... this time.

The last week was a busy but good week.

In my last class we ate fruit and built amusement park rides.

After my last class Jason and I went to MOCA. I have written about that before. What I haven't showed is this stereo that we ran into on the way there. Yes its a stereo. It didn't work though.

So the big guy is where you connect your player, and I also think he is the sub woofer.
The two small girls are the speakers.

This is one of my favorite places in Taipei.

While I watched people dance, Jason played with his phone.

A crossing.

Esteban, Jason and I at Ximending.

I was lucky enough to take a photo of the big screen just as Wang Li Hong was displayed.

The last evening together Jason and I went to a really nice restaurant. This was the dessert. (And we started with the dessert)

Then the last day, just some hours before I left for Sweden, I said good bye to my landlord and her dog.

One final photo.
Jason and I at the Chang Kai Shek Memorial.

Next time I will report from Sweden.

Random Memories from Taiwan - The sequel

Some of you might know that I had to buy a new phone after I dropped my old one in a raging river.
Jason and I walked around a very long time before I finally bought my first smart phone. The reason I wanted a smart phone was that there are some great Chinese apps that could help me with my studies.

This is when Jason and I celebrate my new WATERPROOF phone with tea.

Soon after Jason bought a smart phone as well.
- Ove... Since I am going to live my life with you and do the things you do... shouldn't I buy a waterproof phone as well?

Well he did, and the more fancy model too.

As you can see, the smart phone has become a favorite. We have set up some rules though. At restaurants and stuff, we are not allowed to take them out. I want for us to talk each other, not to our phones.
NOT AS EASY AS IT SOUNDS...
:)

One day as we were walking around down town ZhongLi, we stumbled across a store that had this lizard in it.
No it was not a pet store. They were selling clothes and bags.

I really liked this one and after a while the owner asked if I wanted a lizard of my own, cause his lizard had laid eggs and I could have one for free.
Since I'm not usually in one place for a very long time, I had to decline the offer.

Jason held it as well. In the beginning of it all he didn't want to do it though.
But as you can see, he conquered his fears and held it.

I was very proud of him at this moment.

Jason again.

 Jason and I ...

What comes after a sequel?
