A very steep mountain - part 1

Hi.
In order to get the pics out here, I will publish the in the order I edit them, and not in chronological order.

So with no further do, here comes "A very steep mountain - Part 1"

On a bus to... somewhere. My backpack is packed and I am very enthusiastic about the hike.

More bus pics.

Very soon I realized that this hike would be like nothing I had ever before experienced. When we reached base camp, left our big bags and went on to take the summit, that's when the reality of how steep this place really was.

Its just as steep as it looks... and more.

I was down on all 4. I kept telling myself that I could do it. I could hardly breath, that's how tired I was, but I made it to the top. (which this isn't by the way)

In the evening there was time for stories, solving world problems and food.

And somewhere out there in the wild, there is a mad man on the loose.

Two short events from Taiwan

Hi there.
The reason I don't write that often at the moment is because I have my nose inside my Chinese books all the time. The work load is killing me at the moment. BUT my Chinese is improving allot.

One day Jason took me to Taipei Arena. There we went Ice skating for a while. Was allot of fun, and included in the rental price was a nice pair of blue gloves. You can see them on the hands of Jason in some of the photos. The girls got pink gloves...

Another day Jason and I went to an area called Ximen. There we listened to this guy. He was quite good. He only sang in Chinese though.

I will keep posting about my time in Sweden, but the next time will be from a hike I went on last weekend. It was the most strenuous hike I have ever gone on. At the same time, it was the most fun hike as well.
I will tell you all about it next time.
I just have to edit the photos first.

Göteborg (Gothenburg) - And Rodger Waters.

Jason and I went to see a friend of mine in Gothenburg after the time we spent at the west coast.
Due to the fact that I try not to publish photos of people who hasn't given their consent, there will be allot of people I talk about in this post that wont show in any of my photos.

Well we went to this friend of mine and we stayed at her place. I met her many years ago as I sailed from Cape Town, South Africa to Freemantle Australia.

My friend makes the best Cheese cake in the world, and as usual she had made one for us. Needless to say, I was very happy.

Then she took us to see some moose up close.

I think he is laughing at us.

She took us to an old water tower where we had FIKA, and she took us to a Greek restaurant.
After this she had to go, but for Jason and me the main reason we were there was getting closer by the minute. We met up with my brothers and some other friends of hours. Jason had no idea what was about to happen.
Almost a year earlier I had bought two tickets to see Rodger Waters from Pink Floyd preform "The Wall".
Jason had never been to a concert before and I was very excited about it all.

Here we are waiting for the concert to start.

The Wall, for the ones who don't know, is like a musical. Its just amazing. Aeroplanes, flying pigs and a huge wall that is first built up, just so that HE can tear it down again. The music is great and one of my brothers said that he hear the best guitar solo of his life during this concert.
Its the solo in this song. This is from his concert in Copenhagen, but I guess its close enough.

Comfortably numb
Sit back and enjoy!!!!!!!!
'

The wall became a huge TV screen.

Jason...

Orust - Swedish Westcoast

After the swim Jason and I were quite hungry. I wanted us to cook food somewhere nice.
We ended up in Hälleviksstrand .

Hjalmar, a friend of mine, gave me this camping stove which proved to be really good.

Dinner = Boiled Hot dogs

After having filled our stomachs and after having  listened to the guy playing his Ukulele, we took the time to look around.

The place was full of small alleyways

And there was a cool church.

Then we set out to find a place to camp. We ended up at Stockens Camping. It was a really cool and Jason and I spent the evening kayaking.

After a great day we took refuge in our tent before the storm blew in.
... Yeah.. a storm blue in.

Stay awake.
