Kayak - part 2

So there we were in the forest on the other side of the lake. Jason wanted to find a log
to sit on. As he circled around the camp to find something  suitable he stumbled across the golden mushroom. The chanterelle is amazing and Jason was very excited about finding them. He called for me to check if it was the mushroom I had been talking about, and it was. We got enough for one sandwich each.

Jason didnt find a log to sit on, but I had already found something big enough for both of us.

Here the mushrooms are boiled in water. Later they were to fry in soft cheese... yeah I know, but we didn't have butter.

After chanterelle and hot dogs, we had corn on the cob.

Before it was time to go to bed in the cosiness of the tent, I persuaded Jason to take a swim in the lake. It was to become his first swim ever in a lake. And.... well he did get into the water, but he didn't like the fact that the water was as black as the night so that he couldn't see what was in it. But swim he did.

After a night in the wild we set back over the water the next day, and this time without a rope between the two kayaks.

Natural born Kayaker.

We went to visit Mr Beaver.

Jason

From my point of view.

We made it home and I was happy to hear that Jason liked the outdoors so this wasn't the only time we slept in a tent.

Stay awake.
Snowden, Mannings and Assange... Not forgotten.

Love Ove.
