Even more photos from up north.

The days I had up north are still very much alive in my memory. Watching these photos makes them even more alive.

The river system that we went too had 3 different streams, with lakes in between them. This is one of the lakes.

After one of my trips with my brothers, I realized that I didn't really have any photos of me. After that I started to take some where I am showing as well. The sad part is that they all have the same structure... Me holding the camera like this. 

There is a man who is responsible for this area. He has some cabins and he sells the fishing rights. 

His name is Göran. Here we see him explaining something to us.

He is a great fly-fisherman.

You can not see it, but these photos are taken during the night. Fishing all through the night makes you hungry.

Water sport in Åmål.

Hi there.
Åmål is a city... Well maybe a small town... That is located just by a huge lake.

And not do we only water ski. We go sailing as well.

A red little cabin

In Sweden we have something we call "A red little cabin". It´s very much part of Swedish culture. I visited a little red cabin some weeks ago. And here it is. 

The cabin is way into the woods. Kind of like where the  Little Red Riding hood´s grandmother lived. I write lived cause it was such a long time ago, I bet she must have passed away by now. 

Well... this is a little red cabin. 

Here is the cabin from the side. It has a bedroom, a small living room and a small corner with a kitchen. The best part of it is the open fireplace. I always sit in front of the fire. I love the heat, the light and the sound it makes. 

 And what is this???
This is the bathroom. Well.. the toilet. Isn't it cute???

The downside is that even in the middle of the night, in the coldest of winter... this is where you have to go. And here it can be around -35degrees Celsius in the middle of winter. Not that nice to crawl out of bed to put on your shoes. Then walk out into the cold so that you can get to this place. 

Right???

One evening I spent a long time watching the sun go down. Up north the sun doesn't go down below the horizon in a vertical direction. It was kind of sliding along the tree tops in an almost horizontal direction for a long time. Finally it passed the last tree tops. 

Here is the wild bunch.

More from Herrevadströmmen.

As many of you out there know already, two of my brothers and my cousin and I went up north for some flyfishing about a week ago. 

Here comes some photos from that occasion. 

So where is this place anyway. Well.. let me show you. 

Here are the people who embarked upon this journey.

We came to a place where pristine nature was all around. 

Still we lived quite comfortable. More comfortable than we usually do. This time we had beds and we had this place where we sat and ate our food that was cooked by my cousin who is a real chef. Needless to say, the food was great. 

Here my cousin is out and about to catch a big fish.

This was the toilet house. The kind where the stuff ends up far down in a big pile on the ground. 

Here I am, feeling great. 

As I said earlier, the nature was pristine and here is an example.

And another one. I took this photo around... 11.30pm ... or something like that. This area never get that dark during summertime. 

No comment. 

This photo, I am sure, was taken in the middle of the night... around 2 or 3am. 

I imagine how it must have been 300 years ago. The mist over the lake was thought to be elves who danced the night away. This night they danced for hours. 

This was one of the flowers I saw up there. One I have never seen before. 

 And lastly, this is what we use to catch the big ones. I made these ones. And they worked :) 

It takes some time to edit all the photos and so on, but if you are patient I will post more photos later on. I also have some more stuff from the blues fest where I had the privilege to perform together with the band. 

And on another note, 

Snowden, Assange and Mannings, 

Thank you for opening our eyes. 

And the to the Swedish government, I say, Shame on you for stopping the investigation at the EU headquarters. You probably did that cause Sweden has way more dirt under its nails than most of us think. 

To everybody out there I also want to say, I see a difference between a country's government and its people.

I threw really low numbers on the dice.... And that is no good thing.

Recycling in Sweden

Hi there. 

In Sweden we are used to recycling. And not just one or two things. 

Today I went to the local recycling station.

Newspaper paper

Plastics

Metal containers

Clear glass

Clothes

At the big recycling station there are about 30 different categories.
